I met Alec in 1974 in Paris; he made a portrait of me. I would be happy to find his address or mail and give him some news. Maybe he’s French is still better than my English.
    Best greetings from France,
    Anne-Marie

      Hi Anne-Marie,

Email me (rossrawlings@hotmail.co.uk) and we can talk some more. I have a telephone number I could give to you. I’d be fascinated to see the portrait if you have it.

Back in 1972 you sketched us in our then home in Newquay. Long time ago, still playing folk music but now living on the Canadian prairies. Friends of Mex and Sharon.

Oh gosh – I was just “Googling” about and found this reference and picture of my beloved Alec. Will collect my thoughts and get back to you…

I remember Mex. I have a “tape” of him singing at Alec’s studio in 1973, ” Black cat with eyes of green” etc. Very very special and memorable time in my life. Please get in touch.

Feb this year we had a house fire and lost everything, just memories left in the ashes. I remember long nights at Trewan Hall in St.Columb and even longer night after Folk Cottage. Alas our sketches were also lost one in particular of our eldest son done on a brown paper bag. I am on facebook Blue Rogers

I remember you both. How very tragic about the fire; I’m so sorry.
